Night Terrors @ The Bop Stop

The Bop Stop presents the Night Terrors on Sunday, February 5th.

Night Terrors performs like a dream gone awry; letting go of oneself in is the only reality that makes sense. Because of the musical backgrounds of Tim Mirth and Paul Stranahan so much is possible during a Night Terrors performance. Experimental textures are created with the use of numerous electronic pedals on the guitar- from a haunting quiet and round to jagged pulsing squeals. The percussion ranges from the harsh sounds of china cymbals to meditative singing bowls to other forms of drumming. There are also gongs of multiple sizes that transport the listener to a world more ancient yet new. For this performance Paul will also debut the marimba, adding an additional soundscape. Night Terrors blurs the line between composition and improvisation.
