EVENT BEGINS AT 7:30pm
Move and groove at City Stages, the CMA’s famous block parties that take place in front of Transformer Station and feature the best in global music. This year, the series occurs on two Wednesdays: July 22 and July 29. Each performance begins at 7:30 p.m.
Arrive early and grab dinner and a drink at one of Ohio City’s bars or restaurants, or visit one of the local shops (opens in a new tab). Hang out in the Transformer Station beer garden provided by Market Garden Brewery and enjoy tacos from the Puente’s Tijuana Tacos food truck.
Seating is limited—bring camp chairs and delight in an evening of music and dancing in the street.
Free parking is available in the Lutheran Hospital lot located at West 28th Street and Franklin Boulevard.
Transformer Station is located at 1460 West 29th Street (at the corner of Church Avenue), Cleveland, OH 44113. Transformer Station remains open until 9:00 p.m. during City Stages.
Wednesday July 29th will feature Insun Park & Generals
About the Artist
Experience a groundbreaking fusion of rock, Korean traditional music, and mask-dance rhythms with Insun Park & Generals. A master of the Gangnyeong Mask Dance, designated as Korea’s National Intangible Cultural Heritage, Park leads the band, blending her dynamic vocal and dance performances alongside the talents of Donghyuk Heo (composer/guitar), Hyunmo Yang (drums), Johyun Kim (taepyeongso/flute), and Hahyungki Baek (bass guitar). Park stands out as one of the few female masters of the Gangnyeong Mask Dance, a tradition historically dominated by men. With her band, she creates a dynamic blend of ancestral art and contemporary sound, seamlessly merging traditional rhythms with modern rock influences.
